Since the beginning of April, new changes have occurred in the Russian certification system covering the production, manufacturing and marketing of children's goods. Of course, products for children are subject to state control of life safety, where the system of mandatory certification of children's clothing is just one of the regulatory mechanisms.

So, the certificate of conformity for children's clothing should be drawn up in the form of a mandatory certification procedure. This requires obtaining an expert opinion, the decision of Rospotrebnadzor or a certificate of state registration for products that certifies full compliance with the Uniform requirements of hygienic standards, sanitary and epidemiological. The need for the latter, similar to the general procedure for certification measures, is determined in the framework of the approved register of products falling within the scope of sanitary and epidemiological control (supervision) standards. Accordingly, objects not listed in this list require expert advice. All of the above documents are the basis for issuing a certificate for children's clothing. It is known that recently (namely, 01.07.2010) this documentation was replaced by just one sanitary and epidemiological resolution.
